Boo-Boo Bunnies

-
1 new wash cloth
-
1 small rubber band
1. Launder a new wash cloth.
2. Open wash cloth on table….roll ends into the center.
3. Fold in half lengthwise.
4. Fold in half again.
5.Apply rubber band to front half of ‘rolls’ to form bunny’s head. Fluff ears….you can apply a pompom for the ‘cotton’ tail…I prefer not too…then babies will not choke on it if it comes off. Place an ice cube in the Boo-Boo Bunnies belly and apply to booboo….ice will cool the wound…and bunny will calm the child... baby flowers, baby gift baskets, new baby gift
Dixie Cup Booties
Make two slits about an inch and a half apart down the side of the cup, stopping about an inch from the bottom of the cup. This will make the "tongue" of the shoe. Along each side of the tongue, punch holes for the "shoe laces". Run ribbon through the holes in the same manner you would lace a pair of shoes. Tie in a bow and fill with candy, nuts or whatever you desire.
note: to prevent the holes from ripping when laces are tied, a bit of clear fingernail polish can be applied and let dry before threading the laces.
Welcome Baby Terracotta Pot
Supplies:
-
Terracotta pot
-
matching saucer
-
acrylic paint
-
Clearcote hi-shine glaze
-
Baby charms
-
Hot glue
Instructions:
Make sure terracotta pots are clean and dirt/dust free.
Paint the entire pot and saucer with white acrylic paint. It may take several coats to cover completely.
You do not need to paint the inside of the pot except for an inch or two if desired, or just to the rim.
Paint rim area of pot in your desired color, pink, blue, yellow, etc.
Paint rim of saucer to match. You can also paint the inside of the saucer in the accent color.
Allow to dry for several hours. When fully dry, in a well ventilated area, spray the outer areas of pot and saucer with the clearcote hi-shine.
Allow to dry for at least two hours, apply a second coat, then apply 2 coats to inside of saucer and any painted areas remaining on the pot.
Allow the entire project to dry for 12 to 24 hours then begin arranging baby charms on your pot until you find a pattern that you like.
Using a hot glue gun, apply dollops of hot glue to the pot in the areas you would like to have your charms. apply each charm to a dollop of the glue. Use extreme care as the glue is very hot.
Allow project to dry for several hours, and apply one more coat of the clearcote hi-shine glaze to the pot and charms. This helps to seal your project and adds an extra layer of protection.
If any charms fall off, just re-apply with a little hot glue.
This is a great gift for a new mom...it can be filled with a small plant, stuffed with a stuffed animal, or baby items - there are lots of creative possibilities.
I also like to use baby theme buttons for this, if they have a back that sticks out, just snip it off with a pair of wire cutters (be careful though these are sharp).
These little pots are a wonderful baby shower favor or a nice homemade gifts for expectant mothers.
